Shalimar Bagh,Built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife NurJehan, Shalimar, 15 Kms from the TRC, is a beautiful garden with sweeping vistas over gardens and lakes, and shallow terraces. The garden is 539 m by 182 m and has four terraces, rising one above the other. A canal lined with polished stones and supplied with water from Harwan runs through the middle of the garden. The fourth terrace, by far the best, was once reserved for royal ladies. On return visit a local Handicrafts Emporium for hand-
knotted specialty Silken carpets, shawls, jewellery ornaments. Changes will be made depending upon your arrival time; if it will be evening then next day will be reserved for local sightseeing. Later transfer to Srinagar and enjoy a relaxing Shikara Ride in the famous Dal Lake. You will also be enjoying the view musical colourful fountains.

Thajwas Glacier is 3 Kms in the south of Sonamarg. Slopes and meadows are sparkled with the loveliest of alpine flowers, while the rich forests of fir, sycamore and birch at their lush green beauty to the scene. Along with the Pahalgam, Sonamarg is an excellent takeoff point for treks into the mountains and in itself is an ideal camping ground where glaciers pour down from the Himalayas. Sonamarg is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus
